On to the king!
On to the king!
His Majesty will be 3.75" tall, which is 95mm (rounded down from
95.25); and he will be 1.50" diameter at the base, or 38 mm
(rounded down from 38.1). This makes the base 40.0% of the height,
which I'm told is the ideal.
As with the knight, I'm using the Zagreb, Berliner, Man Ray, and
other notable Modernists as my inspiration.
Figure 2 The Berliner king.
Figure 3 The Abstract Abbey set, made with all cones.
I'm a wild & crazy guy; I'm starting with the cones in mind.
Maybe I like it because of the knight.
Stay tuned...
Knight Work
Next iteration.
I've carved some shape into his nose and added a hole for his eyes.
Have you ever seen a modern art statue of a lady with a hole in her
stomach? That's what I was aiming for.
Until I figure out a painless way to bevel the edges, we're done
here.
